This sounds a bit strange, but I promise it is super yummy. Pretty inexpensive to make (granted you already have the spices on hand), but special enough for holiday gatherings.

Combine in a small saucepan and heat over medium high:
1 can jellied cranberry sauce
1/2 c sugar
1/4 c vinegar
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground mustard
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp black pepper

In a small bowl, whip together 1 Tb flour and 1 Tb cold water, then stir into the other ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and let simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from heat, then cover and chill for at least 1 hour before serving. Great with pretzel sticks!

Love this recipe! Brought it to our Bible Study Christmas party last night (along with lumpia, a filipino appetizer). Well, hardly anyone touched the dip because they were really into the lumpia, so I have this dip all to myself along with a bag of pretzels. I don't know what kind of pretzels you use but I like Rold Gold's Honey Wheat Braided Twists.

Thanks for this recipe!!! It's really good...

I used fresh ginger because I didn't have ground...MMM

I like the zing!!!
